Accommodation in Australia is a tricky affair. Once you shell out all the money for airfare to Australia, you might think that nothing can surprise you anymore (I know that’s what I thought). It simply isn’t the case – they do things a little different down there. Just because it is an English speaking country doesn’t mean that you won’t be surprised once you get to the “land downunder!”

One of the most popular forms of accommodation in Australia is Australia hostels. People down there travel much more than Americans. So much of the country is pristine, unspoiled wilderness, and there is a ruggedness in the Australian spirit lost to America and Western Europe of today. They don’t mind living in somewhat spartan environs if they can live easy and on the cheap, and that’s just what Australia hostels are: spartan and cheap. But for my wife and myself, 20 people in a room with one toilet between the lot of it, staying up all night drinking and singing bawdy songs quickly grew old despite the reasonable rates, and we were forced to reconsider our choice of luxury holiday accommodation.

The Australia resorts, however delightful and picturesque, were well beyond our means when we went on our vacation, and so it was a choice between plain old camping and hotels. We were successfully tempted to indulge in a few nights of hotel accommodation in Australia, where we could have some privacy and a nice soft bed to rest up in, and then off to the wilderness for us.

Because Australians are so often on the move, it isn’t at all hard to find luxury holiday accommodation. Both of us already had our backpacks, and sleeping bags, and it was no problem to find tents, pots, pans, portable stoves, and other essential camping gear for very reasonable rates. Some of it we were even able to rent – convenient since we had no plans on lugging a brand new tent back to America when we were done.

Of all the places we stayed, I think the outback had the best accommodation in Australia. Nothing in the world is better than it – lying outside all night with the sky for a blanket and the earth for a bed as they say. Most nights, we didn’t even need the tent, as it was during the dry season, but there were plenty of stations each within a days walk from each other, where we could fill up water and replenish necessary supplies. Try luxury holiday accommodation

Travel Malaysia Tips

If you’re thinking of a business trip or personal holiday, you should travel to Malaysia. Why Malaysia? What does Malaysia have that other countries do not? I am a Malaysian and I can give you genuine reasons why Malaysia should be your destination of choice for business or pleasure.

Firstly, the cost of living is low but the standard of living is high. That means you can buy lots of products of international standards but at a far cheaper price than in developed countries. Malaysia has all the modern facilities and infrastructure that you find in New York, London or Paris but at only a small fraction of its costs. In fact Malaysia has more kilometers of highway than the whole circumference of the earth! Not to mention exciting tourist destinations such as the Petronas Twin Towers, Petroscience Center, Suria KLCC, Midvalley Mega Mall, Starhill Gallery, the National Museum, the Lake Gardens, Palace of the Golden Horses etc.

Secondly, the country enjoys peace and stability socially, economically and politically. Since its independence in 1957, Malaysia has experienced rapid growth. Its economy has evolved from a primary industries-based economy into a robust and competitive diverse economy that sees Malaysia as one of the world’s top producers of microchips, automobiles, electronic equipment, food-based products and natural resources. It is currently the 17th largest trading economy in the world. The people of Malaysia are naturally very hospitable and gentle. It’s part of the culture and lifestyle of Malaysians. In Malaysia, you will not find bombings, terrorist attacks or threats to tourists that you find in some neighbouring countries. In fact, Malaysians treat their country’s visitors very well. This is why tourism plays such a big part in Malaysia’s economy. This means that you can enjoy your stay in Malaysia with complete peace of mind and be pampered by the genuine warmth and hospitality that is uniquely Malaysia.

Thirdly, the country is free from all natural disasters. No other country in South-East Asia has such stable climate and ecological conditions except Singapore (which used to be part of Malaysia). In Malaysia there are no earthquakes, hurricanes, typhoons, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, cyclones etc. So when you are in Malaysia, you will enjoy its warm and sunny weather with a constant day-time temperature of about 30 degrees Celcius and night-time temperature of about 27 degrees. Even during monsoon season (late November through to December), its rainy weather is mild because the country is shielded from the full effects of the South West monsoon by the island of Sumatra (part of Indonesia) on its West.

Fourthly, the country is a blend of East and West. You will find all the Western modern amenities ranging from large shopping malls to state-of-the-art business facilities and plush hotels. At the same time, you will also discover the Eastern culture and lifestyles of family businesses, small shops, simple wooden houses in small villages where respect for the elderly, discipline for the children and a sense of personal modesty is practiced. In Malaysia, you will marvel at the unique combination of the best the East and the West has to offer.

Fifthly, the people of Malaysia live in peace and harmony. They are a true model of inter-racial, inter-religious and inter-cultural unity. In fact, Malaysia is known as the Rainbow nation of Asia for precisely this reason. In Malaysia, you will witness the lifestyles of the various races that live there such as the Malays, Chinese, Indians, Kadazans, Ibans, Dusuns, Muruts, Dayaks, Bajaus and about 35 other indigenous ethnic groups. You will be awe-struck as you watch colourful cultural dances, mesmerizing displays of fashion, art and craft and be spell-bound by the fascinating array of local cuisine. As mentioned above, Malaysians are naturally hospitable people.

As a Malaysian, I warmly introduce you and welcome you to my country, Malaysia. When you come to Malaysia, you will have a most memorable stay whether for your business or holiday.

Regular exercise, even if just a 15 minute walk round the block is a underutilized aid for people looking for mid back pain treatment, that can have a bigger impact on your health and lifestyle than all number of back pain treatments - including the health drinks and superfoods, the greatest sex, and even the most exhilarating fun. The only problem is that you have to take action for it to have any positive benefit for you.

Well, the good news is I’m going to help you make the opportunity in your busy day - somehow - because, again, people who have known low back pain relief everywhere recognize that simple and painless back exercise will be more rewarding to you in the long run, for help in healing your back pain, than pretty much any other treatment you can try.

We’ll start with the distinct lack of time you have available. What if I told you that allocating 10 or 15 minutes before you take a shower to exercise could buy you an insurance policy that’s better than protecting you against the next time you’ll go through all that pain and suffering due to that back pain therapy?

If you’re like most busy people, you find 24 hours a day just don’t go far enough. There’s no window of opportunity for less than half an hour of low impact stretching and strengthening back exercises, let alone the 45 minutes to an hour, three times a week that would satisfy the aerobic exercise requisite of a normal exercise program.

As your time is money in the bank, then the time you invest in exercise, which is free as far as monetary investment goes, it saves you whatever amount of time and money you would likely spend on therapies like chiropractic, reflexology, massage therapy, and so on - when your back muscles next seize up and bring back that flood of excruciating back pain.

Not sure if it will work out for your situation? You’ve got so much going on that you’re struggling to get a good nights sleep, and your energy levels seem to be at an all time low? Well, that’s an even bigger reason to get active. As you’ll soon discover, simple exercises, especially regular aerobic exercise, will change the way you feel, every minute of the day.

You might expect that you’re energy levels will plummet, but, regular exercise actually makes you feel invigorated and empowered. Even though it burns up calories and helps you lose weight, it doesn’t make you lethargic. On the contrary, keeping physically active lifts your moods, invigorates and rejuvenates you - as you’re far more likely to sleep better when you exercise, you’ll find that you need less sleep but feel even better.

So you’re ready to take that long-awaited vacation to squeeze out a little time for fun while everyone else you know is back at work.

You and your family are weighing some creative ideas, but know you’d like to enjoy relatively peaceful activities. You might do very well to consider one of the great state parks in Nevada with its incredible desert.

If that sparks an interest, keep reading for an overview of some of the best state parks in Nevada, along with information about where you can obtain additional resources.

Spring Mountain Ranch

Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is nestled at the bottom of the awe-inspiring Wilson Cliffs in Red Rock Canyon, accessible from the scenic U.S. Highway 159. This 520-acre state park was first developed into a luxury retreat and working cattle ranch, offering visitors a glimpse into Nevada life. In fact, it was once owned by Howard Hughes.

After living out its life as a resort, the region was purchased by Nevada and converted into a state park and wilderness reserve. The park is open every day from 10am to 4pm, except Christmas Day. You can visit it for a guided tour, educational trip or take your own private hiking day trip.

The Valley of Fire

The Valley of Fire is the biggest state park in Nevada and is a popular side trip from Las Vegas (just 55 miles away). Visitors can explore the Mojave desert and take in the splendor of the region’s red rocks, incredible trees and readily apparent Native American history.

Visitors can camp at the Valley of Fire state park, but they should be prepared for cold winter conditions, particularly at night. Also, if you’re camping and hiking during the summer, you should be aware of all water facility locations and always let a park ranger know your intended route. The park grounds are well monitored, but safety in the desert is critical.

Echo Canyon Park

Though small, this is one of the most popular state parks in Nevada. Located about 12 miles from Pioche, Echo Canyon State Park spans 65 acres and offers camping, picnicking facilities, a boat launch, nature tours, fishing and hiking trails.

Echo Canyon also attracts a number of wildlife species thanks to its water reservoirs. The popular watering hole is a terrific location to do some bird watching or just snap a photo. If you’re going in the winter, dress accordingly.

Get the Nevada Guide to State Parks

Nevada State Parks is a portable and illustrated pamphlet that provides an overview of the state’s 24 parks. It includes highlights, historical references and activities. You can call 1-800-638-2328 to obtain a copy. You can also write the Nevada Commission on Tourism, 401 N. Carson Street, Carson City, Nevada 89701.

There is more to South Florida than Miami Beach. There is no way not to be awed when visiting the Florida Keys. The Keys are like nowhere else on earth in their beauty, peculiarity, their congeniality and their personality. It seems as though my body and mind instantly relax as I drive through Key Largo; just knowing I am going further down into the heaven called the Keys.

Route 1 is the only road from Key Largo to Key West and it is awesome. It passes through small villages, small hummocks of mangrove trees, intermixed with tiny beaches.

Fisherman, in shorts, and hair louse in their beards cast for mangrove snapper and yellowtail, while boats with flat bottoms and guides work their way through the flats in search of the elusive bonefish. hair louse abound down here, and the locals like it that way.

Everywhere, the water is a different and beautiful color: green, turquoise, sapphire, and beige. Always crystal clear, cleaned by the gulf stream.

On the left is the Atlantic Ocean, shallow and various shades of blue; on the right is Florida Bay and then the Gulf of Mexico; murky yet beautiful in shades of green, beige and tan. Islands dot the landscape in the Gulf, as do boats seeking pleasure or fish, or both.

The drive to Key West could not ever be described as bad. It is beautiful; something new around every bend or over every bridge, especially the seven-mile bridge.

Pelicans, ungainly yet graceful, glide beside your car as you speed along the highway. Islamorada and Marathon are the only places that slow traffic down on the way to Key West.

Just north of Marathon is a place where you can swim with the dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center. If you look closely, you may just be able to spot Jimmy Buffet’s home on the end of Shark Key. Be sure to have a Margarita and Cheeseburger on him!

Key West finally emerges. It is a bustling place with lots of people, lots of shops and lots of restaurants. Take a deep breath and plunge in: get some conch fritters and have a beer at the Hog’s Breath. Just don’t forget to worship the sunset on Mallory Square before relaxing in the salty breeze for the night!

Already a famous location due to its portrayal in various famous paintings, The Antico Café Della Pace is still a favored meeting point for famous artists. Amazingly, artists have been gathering at this location for over a century, where both discussions and disputes take place over literature and the arts.

Artists such as painters, carvers, musicians, writers and fashion makers all gather at this location to share artistic ideas and initiatives. Apart from artists, you can also spot antique collectors, politicians and trendsetters at this location in Rome. Interestingly, new ideas and inventions continue to occur at the Café Della Pace which is often also referred to as a bar.

These artistic ideas and discussions come to life due to the participation of the artists who visit the Café. Artists that visit the Café also come from all over the world, but not only the rich and famous visit this location, as recently more and more Roman school painters are becoming regular guests at the Café. Artists such as poets, comedians and filmmakers as well as many other art personalities are no strangers to The Antico Café Della Pace.

When you next plan your visit to Rome, you should arrange your accommodation early accommodatie in Rome. appartement Rome offers you a great variety of apartments that can be found throughout the city! Depending on the length of your stay, you may also want to stay at one of the many hotels Rome. As a result, you are given the freedom in planning, focusing and ultimately experiencing all that Rome has to offer as you will always be ideally situated within the city.

Besides being a famous and known meeting point for artists around the world, The Antico Café Della Pace is also an outstanding area if you plan to be seen and show off any item that you might possess.

You can visit The Antico Café year round but it is highly advisable to visit the Café on warm summer evenings. The Café is also visited a lot during the winter as it becomes extremely cozy but regardless of the season, The Antico Café is always pretty pricey. This shouldn’t come as a surprise when you think where the Café is situated, near the Piazza Navona area. Just keep in mind that your bill is accompanied by much more than just a price, you get to view and experience an environment that is completely unique in the world.

We all love vacations. The only drawbacks are the fact that they’re never long enough and always too expensive. It can be a hassle trying to locate that perfect vacation spot that won’t leave you bankrupt. Fortunately we have the Internet to our rescue. No longer will we be financially stifled by large air fares and expensive hotels. By hopping online you can do a little browsing and locate a perfect vacation package deal which includes Shark Cage Diving.

How many times have you saved for next year’s vacation? Do you actually have the jar on the kitchen counter where you’ll stick spare cash on a regular basis? Don’t laugh! I in fact, knew someone who did that. He seemed to think it was a perfect plan. He and his wife would drop money in that jar on a regular basis in order to save for that next big summer vacation. Unfortunately things didn’t go as they planned. It turned out that their 12-year-old was consistently removing money from the jar to get candy from the drug store. Maybe they should have used a clear jar. Oh well, things don’t always go as planned.

In this day and age, you have no excuse for being deprived of a decent vacation. I don’t care if you have little money to spend, and I don’t care if you’re having trouble finding a choice vacation spot. If you own a computer or have access to one, use it. You can certainly discover a vacation package deal that suits you. Cyberspace is loaded with vacation package deals just waiting to be taken advantage of. Check out some of your favorite destinations. I almost bet that they have some sort of vacation package deal offered. The best thing about these packages is the price. You basically pay a smaller amount to get an inclusive vacation of your choice.

Dubrovnik Map, a city in southern Croatia is one of the most beautiful cities on the Adriatic coast.
This 60.000- inhabitant town is also called “the pearl of Adriatic” or “Croatian Athens” and it was inscibed on UNESCO`s World Heritage List in 1979.

Georg Bernard Shaw said, after he had visited Dubrovnik, Croatia, that he found the “paradise on earth”.
So it is really not surprising that this city, which was built in the 7th century on a rock and is completely surrounded by a thick wall, is one of the most popular destinations in Croatia.

Dubrovnik had its heyday in the Middle Ages but it still offers numerous sights and treasures in the old town you really shouldn`t miss.

There is for example the oldest pharmacy in Europe. It is located in the Franciscan monastry in the old city since 1317.
Moreover, there is also one of the oldest communal theater in Europe where still performaces are held.

Attractions:
City Walls*
Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Treasure
Big Fountain of Ononfio
Dubrovnik Franciscan Monastry
Stradun of Dubrovnik
Pile Gate
Ploce Gate
Dubrovnik Rector `s Palace
…

*The city walls of Dubrovnik are 1,940 meters long and up to six meters wide and it was built around the city to protect it against rivals and enemies. The wall is (for a fee) completely walkable.

Excursions from Dubrovnik:
Cavtat
Elafite Islands
Island Lokrum*
Montenegro
Island Korcula
Mostar
Hvar
…

The excursions are very well organized, all of them with miltilingual guides and an organized transportation transportation.
You can book excursions in hotels or numerous booth on beaches and the old city.

If you want to explore some of these regions by your own, do it with the car because the areas are usually very wide and it is good to be flexible.
You can also take ferries to visit the islands or rent bicycles, scooters or boats for places which are not so far away from Dubrovnik.

Who wants to relax and recuperate can do this on numerous beautiful beaches in and around Dubrovnik. There are beautiful privat but also amazing public beaches.
Dubrovnik offers besides numerous sights, treasures and beautiful beaches a lot of CULTURAL EVENTS.
One of the most representative cultural event in Croatia is the “Dubrovnik summer festival” (July-August) with international music, theater and dance.

One of the most important CULTURAL DAYS in Dubrovnik is the feast of the Holy Patron of Dubrovnik St.Vlaho.
On every 15th February several events take place in old and new Dubrovnik in honor of the patron St.Vlaho.

And THE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL also take place in Dubrovnik since 2003.
A selection of internationally cinematic-work in the categories fiction, documentary and short film are shown and some of them awarded.

You see Dubrovnik, Croatia offers a lot of possibilities to make your holiday unforgettable.

How to reach Dubrovnik

Car
Croatia invested an enormous amount in the highway A1 from Zagreb to Split to make travelling by car easier. So you can reach your destination much faster.

Plain
You can arrive Dubrovnik from almost all regions of Europe, especially during the summer, because
a lot of companies strengthened approach the Cilipi-airport.

Ferry
You can come with the ferry from Rijeka or from one of its stopovers to Dubrovnik. The ferries run into the port of Gruz, which is three kilometers from the old town away.

If you love touring lighthouses or historic places (or both), you’ll appreciate a visit to Heceta Head Lighthouse and Keeper’s House. The Lighthouse and Keeper’s House at Heceta Head date to approximately 1894, and they are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Perched high on a cliff more than 200 feet above the beach below, the Heceta Head Lighthouse beam can be spotted more than 20 miles out to sea. The view from the Lighthouse is spectacular, and the Lighthouse itself is an incredible sight when viewed at night.

Visitors can take guided tours of the Lightouse and Keeper’s House at Heceta Head during the summer months, and by special arrangement at other times of the year. An observation area at the Lighthouse is open during regular park hours year round. There is a Gift Shop on site as well where visitors can browse a wonderful assortment of signature gifts, nautical-themed items, books, clothing and much more.

There is an interpretive center at the beautifully restored Queen Anne style Keeper’s House, and a B&B here offers guests the opportunity to stay at the Keeper’s cottage overnight.

At the subway arches of the Alexander Square you will find a museum that is the first of its kind in the German capital: The first DDR motorbike museum.
The man who had this idea was the 51-year old Uwe Kobilke who collected 80 scooters, motorbikes and mopeds in only 3 years time. Today, some of them are older than 50 years! Even more surprising is that some of them are still able to drive! They were all restored by Kobilke and he knows everything about every single motorbike. Now he is very proud to present his work to everyone else. Therefore, he puts loads of money and effort in it and even mixed the paints until he created the original ones. There is also one motorbike that belonged to a government escort of the earlier politician Erich Honecker. On its wind deflector you can still see the original emblem of the DDR.

Even before the museum opened on the 27th of September, there was loads of interest in the motorbikes: People that really wanted to have a look at them maybe because these motorbikes refreshed people’s memory?!
Now, there are 80 scooters, motorbikes and mopeds on 800 square meters on 2 floors.

If you want to visit the museum, come to Rochstraße 14 c. It is open every day from 10am until 9pm and it costs 5,50Euro (4,50Euro with abatement).

This museum is great no only for those who are really interested in motorbikes. It is very interesting to see the history of all of them and to see how much effort Uwe Kobilke put in.

If you come to Berlin you should come and visit this museum. Have a look for suitable accommodations in advance. There are a lot of apartments (Unterkünfte Berlin) right in the centre, for example near the Alexander Square where is museum is located.

Have a look for accommodation (Ferienwohnung Berlin) or for one of all the Hotels in Berlin and visit the city. Plan a few more days since there are loads of sights to see in Berlin.

Tiergarten has many playgrounds and welcoming open spaces. It is also possible to hire rowing boats on the Neur See. Along Strasse des 17.Juni, the main road which runs through the park, there is a busy, buzzing flea market every Saturday and Sunday, which sells art and other interesting things. In the furthest bottom left corner of the park, Berlin’s beautiful zoo can be found and its large aquarium. As well as this, the Gemäldegalerie in Matthäikirchplatz runs Sunday afternoon tours for kids! There are plenty of apartment Berlin and Berlin apartment to be found in this part of the city

The Gemäldegalerie can be found at Stauffenbergstrasse 40, taking the metro U2, S1, S2, S26 to Potsdamer Platz. It is open 10am-pm, Tue, Wed, Fri-Sun; 10am-10pm Thur and admission is €8; €4 concessions. The gallery has a sizeable collection of English, Spanish and Italian art but the real gems are the Dutch and Flemish art.

The Gemaldegalerie houses 20 Rembrandts – the best of which are considered the portrait of preacher and merchant Cornelis Claesz Anslo and his wife, and an electric Samson confronting his father-in-law. Other gems include a version of Botticelli’s Venus Rising and Corregio’s Leda with the Swan. To accompany you round the gallery there is a really useful free English audio guide.

The Berlin zoo was opened in 1841 and is Germany’s oldest zoo and with almost 14,000 animals, it is considered one of the most important zoos in the world today. It also houses more endangered species than any other zoo, save for the zoo in Antwerp. Here you will find creatures great and small, including hippopotami, elephants and penguins. This well designed zoo is perfect to visit on a rainy day with the children, as much of it is indoors. The zoo was designed by Martin Lichtenstein and Peter Joseph Lenné and it is really striking, with pretty landscaping, cafes and architecture. The highlight of the zoo over the last few years has been the polar bear “Knut” who was born on 5th December 2006 and was the first polar bear to be born in Zoo Berlin in over 30 years. In 2004, the bear enclosure was increased to make more room, as has the birds of prey enclosure and the blah. Make sure you visit the crocodile enclosure and the Elephant Gate, which can be found on Olof-Palme-Platz. Visit; http://www.zoo-berlin.de/en/ for more information and why not book your accommodation Berlin too?.

Kreuzberg is definitely worth a visit as it is full to bursting with pretty boutiques, high quality good value restaurants and a child friendly atmosphere. Kreuzberg is home to the Haus am Checkpoint Charlie, particularly enjoyable for older children, it gives an insight into the lives of those living in East Berlin, and displays the old cars and balloons people used to try and escape from the DDR by getting around the Berlin wall. For more information visit www.mauermuseum.de.

So you’ve arrived in Paris! You’re excited, you want to explore, but you’re tired and hungry and think that some food is needed to fuel you up for the exiting holiday you’re about to embark on. So, where to go? Everyone knows that Paris is filled with restaurants, bistros, cafes and Bars and you’ve heard that they’re all so good! But why settle for ‘so good’ when you can get excellent. Rely on Oh Trip to guide you to the best places to go, eat and visit in the capital of Love.

Our favourite restaurant / bar / gallery / dance club (yep, it’s possibly the most versatile venue in Paris) of the moment is Point Ephémère. It comes as no surprise that with a terrace, a concert space, a dance floor, a gallery area and an extensive menu of one of the most creative selection of food that I have ever read, Point Ephémère is the most popular after dark hang out amongst the up and coming musical and artistic talent of the city.

The most exciting recent news of the….well, I’m not to sure what to call it, is the exhibition that will be held by contemporary Korean artist Jeong- Hwa Choi. Until the 20th of September, the bar will be collecting any objects that you would like to disregard, with your name and the objects value written on it somewhere. Jeong-Hwa Choi will then create one of his contemporary masterpieces, which will be showcasing from the 28th of September to the 19th of October. The exhibition will be included in Paris’s Nuit Blanch which will be taking place on the night of the 4th of October.

Theres an abundance of Paris apartamento avilable in the city centre and it’s definitely worth having a look around as the hoteles en Paris

Down in the most stunningly gorgeous part of Mexico where the sea of Cortez meets the pacific ocean there is a land of fun and excitement. This exclusive sun soaked paradise is known as Los Cabos Mexico. Whether you want to take part in the exciting nightlife or soak up the warm rays on the pristine Golden Beaches, this paradise has something for honeymooners, single travelers and whole families to enjoy. From the warm waters to the sizzling nightclubs, from the World class golf to the World famous fishing, you can find it all in Baja’s most exclusive destination at Los Cabos Mexico.

On the east coast, laid-back San Jose del Cabo Mexico provides a quiet retreat from the high energy of Cabo San Lucas, with narrow streets and charming colonial architecture. Bridging Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo Mexico is the 17-mile Los Cabos Corridor, a strip studded with world famous golf courses and high-end resorts, bounded by pristine beaches of endless white sand. Stroll the meandering streets of San José del Cabo, founded as a mission in 1730. Admire the Spanish colonial architecture and art galleries in an atmosphere rich with Mexican history and folklore..

On the west coast, fast-paced Cabo is alive with busy restaurants, shopping and a frolicking party atmosphere. Cabo San Lucas is the generally agreed upon dividing line between the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean. The famous arch appears to separate the cool waters of the Pacific from the warm and quiet water of the Sea of Cortez.

Cabo San Lucas is at the tip of the Baja California South, Baja California is the world’s longest peninsula and is separated from the main land of Mexico by the Sea of Cortez, also known as the Golf of California. The peninsula is divided into two Mexican states, Baja California (Norte or North) and Baja California Sur (South). Cabo San Lucas, once a small fishing village, enjoys a worldwide reputation for its endless variety of restaurants, bars and nightclubs, as well as the beauty of its beaches.

Cabo San Lucas Bay is a protected marine sanctuary. the bay side of the arch area is a prime location for scuba diving or try the Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park that is located about 40 miles north of San Jose del Cabo on the eastern cape of Baja.

The theme park is located in Vallejo, California and is quite close to the San Francisco Bay area. If you are vacationing in the area, you should try to make some time to visit the theme park. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has a lot to offer, and you won’t regret a visit. The 135-acre park is home to many wonderful animals. You can see sharks, dolphins, orcas, hawks, butterflies, lions, tigers, elephants, and a whole lot more. Rides are also likely to be very important to the family. You will find some great thrill rides like Medusa and the Boomerang Coaster. Of course, there are some mild rides for the smaller ones in the family as well. Check out Daffy’s Deep Sea Diver, the Frog Hopper, and the Roadrunner Express. Live shows are quite popular as well. You can learn more about the birds at the park by seeing the Bird Drop Inn, and you can watch your favorite characters compete in the Looney Tunes Talent Show. It is fun for everyone.

November continues to be the low season for the Great White Sharks and it is the month for us to close down our operation and to go on a much needed holiday.

We are leaving Cape Town early in the morning and headed up the famous Garden Route, to Wilderness.

The Garden Route is a captivating world of lakes, rivers, estuaries and beaches gently unfolding against a backdrop of lush forest and lofty mountains. We stayed at the Wilderness National Park at Ebb and Flow camp in log cabins. What I liked so much about the area is that there are loads of activities for the family, from the beach, walks, birding, canoeing and more. I think next time we will definitely plan on staying for longer. For more info contact Wilderness National Park on Tel +27 (0)44 877 1197 or try Shark Cage Diving

Whist there we also took a train ride on South Africa’s only scheduled steam train, the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe train. It was a lovely train ride, through some beautiful country side as well as alongside the ocean. The train departs from the Transport Museum in George (well worth a visit to see all the olden day trains and cars), and ended up in Mosselbay at the Diaz Museum.

We also went to Addo Elephant National Park, where we did a bit of camping. I was really worried about camping with a little baby and a toddler, but rest assured, everything went just fine. We saw loads of animals: Zebra, Buffalo, Kudu, Warthogs, Hartebeest, Jackal, Ostrich, monkeys and many more animals, and of course…loads of Elephants. The bird life there was spectacular too. For more info contact Addo Elephant Park on +27 (0)12 428 9111

Then we headed inland to cross the Baviaanskloof. This area is truly spectacular. Declared a National Heritage site, the area comprises of approximately 270 000 ha. of unspoiled, rugged mountainous terrain. The vegetation also changes dramatically from thick bush, to fynbos and then semi desert scrubland. You will definitely need a 4×4 to cross the kloof and some of the bends in the mountain pass are not for the fainthearted. The scenery is truly breathtaking. We stayed at a working farm (sheep, veggies, Angora goats) for the evening and had a very peaceful braai under the stars. Shark Cage Diving

Then we headed of to Montegu. Montegu is one of my favorite areas because of the hot springs there. The village is quaint and the area is well known for its wine route. We did some wine tasting of course and stayed at another farm just outside the area.

We came home to a very windy Cape Town, and as I write this, it is still a gale force wind outside. We have had to cancel a week’s worth of shark trips now, and I am hoping the weather dies down before our film shoot that is starting tomorrow.

Well, there was no shark news to report, but I hope you enjoyed this newsletter about our travels. Next month we head of to Botswana and so the journey continues……Shark Cage Diving

Did you know that Puerto Vallarta is tucked away in the middle of the Bay of Banderas, in the Mexican pacific coast? There you will find a gorgeous tourist town rapidly becoming one of the most popular holiday spots in the world. I didn’t know that Puerto Vallarta is reported to be the most repeated holiday destinations on earth. By that, they mean that more people return here for a second, third or more holidays than any other place they go.

Puerto Vallarta is alive with a buzz of international tourism, drawing huge numbers from the US and Canada as well as a growing European influx. Entering from the north you pass the airport and the first area of interest you will come across is the Marina. The area got its name, most obviously because it is built around docking facilities for thousands of boats of all descriptions from canoes, kayaks and jets skis to tour boats and multi-million dollar yachts. Continuing along highway 200, now narrowed to the main street, you enter the Hotel Zone. This area of course is where you find a lot of hotels, many familiar American names and some Condos Puerto Vallarta. The beach here is gorgeous and you will find some great dining.

Cross over the bridge and you enter Centro. Here you will find shops too multiple to describe… jewelry shops, art galleries, clothing stores, more time share offers than you can believe, souvenir shops by the score, restaurants with just about any kind of food you taste buds desire. This is the most diverse area of town. On the right you will find the ocean with terrific views from one tip of the bay to the other while on the left the street is lined with shops. Check out the wonderful collection of statues all crafted from bronze, stone and concrete that adorns the wide sidewalk known as the Malecon. Meander the side streets for hours and you will find delightful little discoveries guaranteed to satisfy your hunt for an unusual gift. If you get a chance take in the Art Walk, happening every Wednesday, a casual stroll of the many art galleries in this area complete with snacks and a drink offered at participating galleries. Just look for an Art Walk flyer, you will find them at shops all over this area.

Continuing south from the Malecon you will cross another bridge, over the River Cuale into Zona Romantica. I guess you could call Centro and The Malecon the center of this city. Zona Romantica is the heart, the magic, if you have not by now fallen in love with this town Zona Romantica will win you over. Here you can find the best Villas In Puerto Vallarta!. Taste the flavors of Mexico at a variety of eateries, from roadside vendors where you can eat for a couple dollars to local Cenadurias, all the way up to five star North American style fine dining experiences on the beach. Don’t be afraid to explore here, both on a culinary level and on a cultural level. Try some local dishes like pozole, molcajete, fried cheese tacos, mahi mahi, it’s all delicious. Let one of the small sidewalk cafes or bars lure you in with offerings of great service, fabulous food and just a plain magical experience.

Above Zona Romantica on the hillside you will find lots of foreign influence again with beautiful villas and condos owned primarily by foreigners and ex patriots most of which can be rented.

Puerto Vallarta is no longer just a cute little Mexican town. It has grown into a diverse, culturally rich tourist destination making its mark proudly on the map. As world commerce grows and travel becomes more and more accessible to the masses Puerto Vallarta has kept pace and in many cases surpassed others as the place to be for your next exotic vacation. Go online and reserve your Puerto Vallarta Rentals you’ll be glad you did!!

Check this funny video about where to stay in Puerto Vallarta. ==> http://www.pvrpv.com/in_and_out.php

Guide To Costa Rica Currency
When you are planning a trip to another country it is best if you have some facts about the place on hand. One item that you might want to look at is that of the currency that is used. For the country of Costa Rica the Costa Rica currency is called a colon. While you can use the money that you have on hand you should make sure that you are not carrying a large amount of money on hand with you. Even though Costa Rica is a beautiful country with many items that you can buy, you should not use your credit card.

This is due to the fact that you can have this card of yours taken from you and you will not discover this fact until later. By also seeing that you exchange your home country money with that of Costa Rica currency in a reputed bank you can be assured that you are getting a good value for your money. For those of you who are hoping to travel to Costa Rica knowing some facts bout the Costa Rica currency can be of help. The first item that you should keep in mind is to look for the exchange rate that is available for each day. The second fact that you must remember is that many of the goods that you can get at priced higher than you might be expecting.

Since Costa Rica is a beautiful country you may be tempted to visit some of the neighboring villages to take in the sights and to do some shopping. At these places you should have a goodly supply of small change. This is necessary as most of these village stores will not be able to change any large denomination currency.
You will find that knowing the common or slang terminology for Costa Rica currency to be a great asset. These terms will apply to the various money bills that you will have in hand. For instance the 100 colon bill is known locally as teja. The 500 colon bill is called the cinco teja. For the larger amounts of money such as the 5,000 colon bill you will hear the slang term tucan.

There is a note of caution that you must keep in mind when you are going to Costa Rica. While you may consider that you have more than enough money for all of your travel needs, there are times when you will need extra. At these times you should see about getting your money exchanged at reputed Costa Rican banks where you will not be played out as you wait for your Costa Rica currency.

Traveling is an activity that provides us with the opportunity of seeing different places. While you can get a bird’s eye overview of Costa Rica, you will find that arranging to go on one of the many Costa Rica tours will provide you with many great features.

Travel to Alaska And Have a Unique Vacation

Planning your travel to Alaska is very important. Good planning can save you a lot of time, money and effort. Note that you may not be the only person who is going on a vacation to this beautiful state, so you need to take into consideration the competition that you might have to book the best accommodations and the most desirable modes of travel. If you plan well in advance and make your hotel and airline reservations early, you might also unearth some great discounts for your vacation travel. A lot of airline companies give as much as 30% discount to passengers who book their flights well in advance. The same goes with hotel and resorts.

Packing for the Trip

When planning out your travel to Alaska, do not forget to organize the things that you want to bring for the trip. Traveling light is very important, especially if you are planning to move around a lot during your visit in Alaska. Bring only the amount of clothes and supplies that you will use during your trip so that you will not end up lugging a lot of suitcases around the airport and train stations. If you possibly can, bring only one suitcase or backpack. You really do not need a lot of dressy clothing when you travel to Alaska, since the dress code for this area is mostly informal. A few pieces of comfortable clothes will do just fine. Besides, you can always pick up a few new pieces of clothes during your travel to Alaska.

Keeping all of your things in one place will make it easier for you to move around. However, if you do decide to keep all of your supplies in one bag or suitcase, make sure that you keep all your cosmetic items and your toiletries inside a waterproof container to prevent accidental spilling of liquid onto your clothes. Closing the cap of your lotion or shampoo bottle is usually not sufficient, because liquid can leak out so be very careful. You don’t really want to end up with a suitcase full of wet and soggy clothes during your trip.

If you plan to go into the wilderness during your travel to Alaska, or camp outdoors at some of the parks, do not forget to bring some insect repellant. Like much of the wilderness throughout the United States, the wilderness of Alaska is filled with insects like mosquitoes. Mosquitoes can be very irritating so you need to keep them off your skin with the use of some good insect repellants.

Alaska is an incredibly vast and complex area, and there is much to know about when it comes to a travel guide to Alaska tourism. For instance, there are various parks that you will want to check out if you are in the Alaska area, in particular Katmai National Monument, Denali National Park, Prince William Sound, Glacier Bay and the Kenai Fjords.

Denali National Park in particular is a popular entry into travel guides to Alaska tourism, because it features North America’s highest mountain, Mount McKinley. The Alaska Range also includes countless other spectacular mountains and many large glaciers, and Denali’s more than 6 million acres also encompasses a complete sub-arctic ecosystem with large mammals such as grizzly bears, wolves, Dall sheep, and moose.

The park was actually established as Mount McKinley National Park in 1917, and the original park was designated as a wilderness area and then incorporated into Denali National Park and Preserve in 1980. Today the park is world famous, according to many travel guides to Alaska tourism, and accommodates a wide variety of visitor use including wildlife viewing, mountaineering, and backpacking.

If you want to visit the Denali National Park by shuttle bus, you should know that the buses leave throughout the day from the Visitor Center, near the park entrance, and you are able to take the eight-hour round trip excursion to Eielson Visitor Center, which is 66 miles into the park. You could also opt for the 11-hour round trip to Wonder Lake, which is 86 miles into the park.

Prince William Sound is also definitely in the category of major sights to see, according to travel guides to Alaska tourism. There are actually 14 separate park units in Prince William Sound, and five in Resurrection Bay, that offer magical anchorages and campsites in diverse upland, marine and intertidal environments.

Then there is Katmai National Monument, which was actually declared a national monument in the year 1918, to preserve the living laboratory of its cataclysmic 1912 volcanic eruption. Its awe inspiring natural powers are truly able to confront us most visibly in its volcanic activities and its brown bears. In the summertime, North America’s largest land predators gather along streams in this region to feast on salmon runs, building weight from this wealth of protein and fat, and preparing for the long winter that lies ahead.

Planning

If you are planning on taking a trip to Alaska in the future, then it is a good idea to sit down beforehand and plan out an schedule with the help of a travel guide to Alaska tourism, so that you can decide which specific attractions and areas you want to visit and thus make the most out of your trip.

Since the terrorist incidents of September 2001, airports around the world have implemented greater security measures than ever before. While there are a great many air travel tips on each airline’s website that will give you information you need about these new rules, here are a few of the most important ones.

As part of our list of air travel tips, however, we do want you to know that it is important for you to visit the website of the airline you plan to fly with in order to view the entire list of items they do not allow you to carry. Although there are several items which are federally and internationally prohibited on flights, each airline also has a list of extra things they won’t allow.

The most important of all air travel tips is to be certain that you allow plenty of time to get through airport security. At least two hours is recommended by most airlines; and if you are flying out on the day before a holiday, three may be better.

There are many checkpoints throughout each airport – to check your luggage, points to check your carryon bags, and points to check the very clothes on your back (quite literally, in some cases). The best air travel tips recommend getting to the airport three hours prior to your flight, especially if you have to pick up your tickets at the airport. This will allow you plenty of time to get through all of the security checks.

The last of our air travel tips, is to wear slip-on shoes, and only a single layer of clothing. This will allow you to get through security checkpoints much more quickly than if you have to take the time to take off jackets, coats, and lace-up shoes. All of these items have to be run through x-ray scanners, so not wearing them can make it a much quicker process for you.

Compromise Is Essential For Cheap Last Minute Travel

There could be a number of reasons why cheap last minute travel is so appealing, like a quick getaway to relax or even due to a death in the family. Whatever your reason may be there are several avenues to pursue in your quest for cheap last minute travel. Keep in mind that you have to be willing to compromise on certain aspects of your trip and the fact that your train or airline seats or even location of your hotel room may not be the most prime location.

Going Against The ?Rules?

It may seem weird, but you might want to book your trip early even though the prices may not be the best that you can get. However, make sure that your hotel reservations or your airline tickets are fully refundable. As your travel time approaches, you can still search for cheap last minute travel deals. The reason is that if you do find a better deal, then you can request a refund for your previous booking and go for the cheaper deal.

In order for the above scenario to work in garnering your cheap last minute travel package, you must apply for your refund before a certain deadline. In addition, when you do request a refund, there may be a penalty fee for doing so; therefore make sure that you are still coming out ahead on your cheap deal, even when paying that penalty.

Flexibility Is Key

Securing that cheap last minute travel deal may mean traveling in the middle of the week rather than a traditional weekend. If you are able to get time off from work at a moment?s notice then this type of cheap deal may be quite advantageous.

Check for places within a few miles of your actual destination as travel to those peripheral locations may be significantly less than traveling to a major hub, whether it is the airlines, bus, or train. Another cheap last minute travel deal may be found with cruise ships that are setting sail for the first time or even for repositioning cruises where the ship switches to another route for the upcoming season.

Alternatives To The Straight Shot Travel

You may create your own cheap last minute travel deals by searching for flights to and from your destination rather than for a round trip ticket. You pay for convenience with a round trip ticket versus the cheaper avenue of booking your to and from ticket separately. Search different airlines as well because prices may fluctuate depending on the route the airlines are taking.

Traveling to a destination off-season is another way to obtain cheap last minute travel and you will reap some benefits like less people crowding the tourist sites. Compromise is essential when you are searching out those cheap last minute travel deals, whether it is via the Internet, the newspaper or some other means.

If you’ve been thinking that it may be time to take a vacation, but you haven’t got a lot of money to spend on your trip, you may want to consider one of the many cheap travel packages available at your local travel agent. Cheap travel packages are a great way to take a vacation without having to worry about all the hassles of getting everything arranged on your own.

Your travel agent will have access to some amazing cheap travel packages. You can choose any destination in the world, and still be able to book your flight, hotel, and local transportation – all for about half of the price you might pay if you book everything separately.

Things to Look For

When you want to purchase cheap travel packages from your travel agent, there are some things that you should watch out for. Even though the majority of travel agents are reputable and honest, there are still those out there that will try to take advantage of an unsuspecting would-be traveler.

Cheap travel packages should always include both your airfare, as well as your hotel reservations. Higher end travel packages will also include your local transportation to and from airports, as well as rental cars for getting around while you are there.

Always be sure that you ask your travel agent if these things are included. Get written contracts stating exactly what the cheap travel packages your travel agent offers include. You don’t want to get stuck in an unknown location, only to find out that your trip has hidden charges that you didn’t know about.

Also, many cheap travel packages include passes to local tourist attractions in the destination of your choice. If you’d like to do as the locals do while on your vacation, ask your travel agent if he or she offers packages that include tickets to local activities and attractions.

If your cheap travel packages are for any type of cruise, you will need to make certain that your travel agent also books your flight to and from your sailing port. You certainly don’t want to get a great cruise deal, only to find out shortly before you are supposed to leave that you still need to purchase airfare. If it isn’t included in your travel package, be sure that you line up transportation to the airport well in advance, as well.

Buying cheap travel packages from your local travel agent doesn’t have to be a difficult ordeal. Just be sure that you know exactly what you’re getting before you hand over your check or credit card.

Helpful China Travel Tips For A More Pleasurable Journey

Visiting China is like visiting another world with the time difference, cultural disparities, different foods, money and paperwork requirements and more. You need some helpful China travel tips in order to smooth the way for a more pleasant journey through this remarkably diverse country.

Pre-Planning Your Trip

During the pre-planning stages of your trip, you will want to ensure that you have all the proper paperwork for entry into the country as well as any requisite immunizations. Any foreigners entering China must apply for a visa through one of the Chinese embassies or consulates, of which there are six in the United States. For group travel, your travel agency will help you get a group tourist visa, which is acceptable for entry into the country.

Before you leave, brush up on the country declarations, as this is one of the most important China travel tips there is. There are certain rules about what you can take into the country that may limit you on certain items, especially electronics like cameras, camcorders, laptops and more. Personal items such as these, including your luggage pieces, will need to be declared upon entrance into the country, so be prepared for this delay at airport customs.

More great China travel tips include garnering travel and health insurance for your trip as well as the proper currency called Yuan for spending in the country. In addition, knowing the time differences from your country to theirs and where the American embassies are located are an essential part of China travel tips.

When And Where To Travel

One of the best China travel tips to know is when the best time it is to visit this vast, beautiful country. Because the landmass of the country is as large as the United States, you can bet that that climate is different depending on the part of the country you visit. China travel tips suggest that the best times to arrive are in May, September and October. While the country can be visited year-round, these three months are the most comfortable weather wise but you might find some great travel deals in the winter months.

One of the wisest China travel tips you will hear is the fact that you should not try and squeeze in all the popular tourist attractions as it is simply not possible unless you are planning to stay indefinitely. Your best bet would be to identify a few choice areas that you want to explore and then try to plan your itinerary based on these places. The Great Wall of China is among one of the top places in China and other China travel tips mention Hainan Island, Bejing, Yangtze River destinations, Shanghai and more.

According to many China travel tips, you cannot fully appreciate the country in one short trip so concentrate on one area and immerse yourself in Chinese culture. Unless you are comfortable with Chinese customs and culture, you should perhaps plan your visit through a touring company who can help smooth the way at various venues as well as traveling.

You want to take a vacation, but don’t have a huge budget. Does that mean that you won’t be able to take the trip of your dreams? Not at all. Take a look at just a few of the amazing ways you can get your hands on discount travel packages that will allow you to travel in style – all at a price that won’t break the bank!

Buying In Advance

Even though you can get some amazing deals on discount travel packages no matter when you call your travel agent, it is always a better idea to plan well in advance of when you actually want to take your vacation. Booking these packages in advance gives you a much better chance of actually getting to travel on the dates you want and to the locations you wish, without having to worry about those dates being booked.

Booking your discount travel package also gives you a much greater selection than if you travel at the last moment. Of course, you can find great deals on discount travel packages at any time, but you will have a greater selection when booking early. Planes tend to fill up quickly, and if you prefer a non-stop flight to one with several layovers, you should reserve your seat as early as possible.

Go Online

Purchasing discount travel packages online is the very best way to compare deals side by side. You should never purchase the very first package you see. Instead, compare several plans, from several different companies, side by side to make certain that you are getting the best deal for your dollar.

Obviously, comparing discount travel packages between local travel agents can be rather time consuming. Setting up appointments, getting in your car and driving to the agent’s office and then repeating the process as many times as necessary to make sure you’re getting the best offer can be an ordeal.

Rather than waste all that time and energy, you can compare discount travel packages from several online travel companies. This way, you can book the best deal for you and your family, without ever having to leave the comfort of your sofa.

Getting great deals on discount travel packages doesn’t have to be a major chore. Just take the time to thoroughly research all of your available options and read all the terms and conditions. Soon you and your family can be off on the vacation of your dreams!

Don?t Gamble On Discount Vegas Travel Packages

There are many offers for discount Vegas travel packages and with most of them a person or couple can have a good time. However, you have to weigh each offer carefully to make sure it includes all the important parts of the trip. Some of the cheapest discount Vegas travel packages may look good until you realize they only include the hotel and one or two meals day. Additionally, many may say they are for three nights, but due to flight schedules, you many only get to spend two nights in the hotel.

Really good discount Vegas travel packages will include airfare from your home airport along with hotel accommodations and all transportation between the Las Vegas airport and the hotel. Meals may or may not be included but with the prices of many meals at various restaurants in the city, it should not cause too much trouble. There may also be tickets included in the cost of some of the discount Vegas travel packages, but again, make sure it will be a show that you are interested in seeing.

There are many attractions in Las Vegas, outside of the casinos and terrific shows and some of the discount Vegas travel packages include sight-seeing tours to the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam, a short jaunt from the main part of the Mecca that is Las Vegas.

Vegas Hotels Best Source Of Best Deals

Many times when a new hotel opens they offer discount Vegas travel packages to help draw new customers into the new facility. Most times the deals will include the hotel, all meals and any shows taking place in their new lounge. However, they may also offer discounts on air transportation if the person resides a certain distance away.

Some of the discount Vegas travel packages may include a necessary meeting in which you will have to listen to a sales pitch and if you do not show up at the appointed time, you will be charged for the costs of the trip. Several of the online vacation sites list discount Vegas travel packages, and with them there is usually no mandatory sales pitch to suffer through.

Checking with local publications, online and offline, usually reveals the best source of discount Vegas travel packages but whatever the choice, carefully read the details to make sue of what is included before signing on for the journey. They can save a lot of money or quickly become expensive if they do not spell out all of the exclusions.

The Very Best Free Travel Tips

If you?re looking for the very best free travel tips around, then you?ve come to the right place! If you are planning a trip in the near future, you need to pay special attention to the free travel tips that we have brought for you today.

Plan Ahead

One of the first free travel tips we bring you, is to always be prepared against every eventuality. We know that it can be almost impossible to plan for everything, but at least covering the basics can go a long way toward making certain that your trip is an enjoyable one.

More free travel tips to help you plan ahead can be found on the website of whatever city or country you are visiting. Generally, local tourist boards offer free travel tips to out of town (or country) travelers that will help make your stay more enjoyable for everyone in your family. These include what type of weather to prepare for, what inoculations you should have before visiting, and even which attractions are the most popular in the area.

Not only will this information allow you to book flights and rooms during times when they are less crowded, it will also give you the opportunity to book your flights and accommodations at a greatly reduced rate.
