Looking For Quick Passports

If you’ve ever found yourself in need of quick passports, it’s likely that you’re just like me and you’ve put off all of the really important aspects of your vacation planning until the last possible minute. Sometimes, we wait until after the last possible minute – and that’s when the fun starts. If you don’t have your passport situation ready at least a few days before your scheduled departure, you’re going to end up running around like a crazy person trying to expedite what is traditionally a rather long and complicated process.

If you want you passport in a hurry First you have to figure out where you can get an instant passport photo taken quickly – and then have the picture with you when you finish the necessary paperwork to actually get your passport in less than the normal turn-around time. In years past, the process was a bit easier to expedite, but since 9/11 and the Global War on Terror, passports have become extremely serious stuff to anyone working in Customs or Immigration around the globe. The process of acquiring one can take weeks and sometimes months, depending on the time of year you are applying for a passport as well as the general level of requests that assorted agencies are receiving at different times of the year. Completing the form and providing the necessary answer is typically not difficult, but you have to take the time to finish the forms correctly, or you will end up with even additional delays in receiving your passport.

Once you have you have gone through the anarchy complicated in obtaining your passport, the very next thing you should do is become acquainted with where you are going to keep your passport so that it is always safe and easy to get, should you need to retrieve it. I’m notorious for returning from a vacation abroad, only to leave portions of my bags still packed and end up leaving my passport concealed with maps of foreign cities that I know I won’t need anytime in the near future, if ever again. With the relief of returning safely home from a long vacation, the last thing on my mind is making sure that I put my passport back in its correct storage place.

As a result, whenever the next opportunity arises to travel to a passport-required destination, I’m not always sure where my passport is hiding. The frantic search can be pretty difficult and I don’t always end up finding it. In such cases, I need to make sure I can get access to a quick passport in order to replace the one I lost.
