The Air Zoo, an aviation museum located in Portage, Michigan, has many different exhibits. In fact, everyone in the family will find something they love at the museum. In the Main Campus, you can find quite a few great exhibits. Some of the most popular include the National Guadalcanal Memorial Museum, Sea Wings: The Story of Carrier Aviation, and the world’s largest indoor mural. In addition, you can visit the 4D theater and various flight simulators that allow you to see if you have what it takes to be a jet pilot or to fly the space shuttle. The Main Campus also has some amusement park rides that the kids will love. On the East Campus, which was the original main building of the museum, you will find thirty-five more aircraft and exhibits, including a collection of propellers. The Michigan Space Science Center is also at the East Campus. You can check out the 5000 square foot exhibit that covers the International Space Station and see moon rocks, spacesuits, and more. The North Campus has renovation tours where you can learn about restoring antique aircraft to prime condition. Everyone will find something interesting to love at the Air Zoo in Portage.
