Learn About Local History on the Heaven Hill Distillery Trolley Tours

If you’re new to Bardstown, Kentucky or simply visiting there for a few days, an absolute must is riding the turn-of-the-century style trolley that leaves the town square and tours several historical points of interest. Bourbon enthusiasts are encouraged to visit the Bourbon Heritage Center for tasting and learning about local distillery customs. Special tours with the Heaven Hill Distillery Trolley may be focused on any number of areas, including the civil war era, architecture and religion, as well as a personalized tour pertinent to your personal family history in the area. Each tour lasts about an hour and twenty minutes, and regular tickets are $7 each. Three tour times are available Tuesday through Sunday, except for major holidays. The trolley has been employed for use since 2004, and expands on the local Heaven Hill Distillery’s tradition of providing the town with a tour vehicle for the downtown district. Group reservations may accommodate up to 30 riders, and the trolley is air-conditioned or heated for year-round use. Weddings, school trips, parties and reunions have been known to use the trolley for a fun and affordable option for group transportation.
