What are some digital cameras that allow you to manually set the white balance?
Most cameras have two or three presets, such as indoor, cloudy, on beach, etc., but almost none of the lower-end point and shoots allow you to manually set the white balance via taking a photograph of a white (or gray) surface and setting that as the white balance. I need a camera that does that, and I would prefer not to spend more than $500 on it, can anyone name a few models.
For $500 you could get a DSLR if you're interested. You can get a Sony a230 DSLR for about $400.
